This is an original San Francisco Public Library card which belonged to Susan Murphy. It is dated as expiring May 1975 and features a handwritten signature from Murphy.

Susan Murphy was a lesser known member of the Manson family who spent time at the apartment of Fromme and Good in the 70’s. Sources claim she spent some time living at this apartment as well. She was convicted of mail conspiracy and sentenced to prison time around the time that Sandra Good was convicted of her crimes.

The Manson Family Apartment collection includes items from 1725 P. Street in Sacramento, California - collected from a neighbor who was friendly with the tenants. At the time Lynette Fromme and Sandra Good lived at this address, along with a rotation of other people associated with the Manson Family. They moved to this location in 1973 to be closer to Charles Manson while he was imprisoned in Folsom Prison. Near the end of their time living in this location, Fromme made an attempt to assassinate Gerald Ford.
